Officer by day, yell leader by night

That’s right, current student Graham Eastburn does both. Eastburn, a sophomore at Butler Community College, is from a small town, Garden Plain, and has recently turned 20 years old on Tuesday, Sept 5.

Eastburn became a student campus police officer this year and is wanting to be a State Trooper in Texas after he gets out of college. He wants to go to Texas because he thinks it is a beautiful state. His favorite part about being an officer is that he likes to be around with the other officers he works with and says they are nice.

“Being a campus officer was a good opportunity, and it will look good on a resume,” Eastburn said.

Eastburn is also one of the Butler yell leaders on the cheer team. He earned the scholarship for being a yell leader when he was moving into his dorm, and the team came to him and asked if he was interested. If it was not for the scholarship, he would not be on the team. He is not wanting to continue being a yell leader after this year.

“Last year was my favorite year, and I don’t think anything will top that because I got along with them better,” Eastburn said. “Plus, I got to be around my friends more.”

When Eastburn has free time on his hands other than being a police officer or yell leader, he likes to play basketball because no one wants to play football. He also likes to eat and play video games such as NBA 2k18 or Madden 18. In his free time from school, he also has another job at the Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.

Eastburn is a really interesting man. He seems to be always on the go and has a busy life, but also has time to do what he wants in his free time. He has always been involved in a lot of things, including his high school career. In high school, he also did extra activities such as sports like football, basketball, track and played baseball for one year. Eastburn is still figuring out if he is wanting to go anywhere after Butler, but if he does, he is wanting to go to either Wichita State University or somewhere in Indiana.
