There are two fighting inside.
One says it’s not worth the hassle.
The other knows he doesn’t feel right.
One says it would be rash.
The other knows it won’t get better by itself.
One says it’ll end in regret.
The other knows it can’t get any worse.
One says it’s fine to just like certain things.
The other knows it goes deeper than just hobbies.
One says those dreams are just that.
The other knows of the disappointment after waking.
One says those childhood fantasies are things everyone has.
The other knows now the meaning those held.
One says only judgment will come from it.
The other knows the ones that matter will be accepting.
One says there’s no going back.
The other knows she would be fine.
But it’s the one to speak that continues to win out.
