I’m not an avid music fan.
I listen to it like every other person on the planet.
But I don’t follow the latest trends.
Or know the intricacies behind composition.
Music is just something that’s been around, always in the background.
In every moment of my life, usually a different song for each.
Meaning I can go back to any part of my life, all it takes is finding that song again.
And I find myself doing this a lot recently.
I had an easy and simple childhood, and I yearn for those days.
Sometimes I need an escape when the stress is too great.
And there’s always a song for that occasion.
It takes some digging, but I can always find my way back.
It doesn’t have to be a complex or deep song.
It doesn’t even need to have lyrics.
Its only requirement is that it played in that time.
So I can just forget about any problems and travel back in time.
One such song has been on my mind recently.
It involves a clock tower and traveling back in time.
That one has been with me since my earliest memory.
So it’s the most oddly appropriate song for that occasion.
I know I’ll have to return to the present eventually.
But for now, I’ll stay here until the next due date.clock-darrah
