On Tuesday, Feb. 27, and Thursday, March 1, a male student flashed two female students in the first incident, and one female student in the second, in the 1500 building of the El Dorado campus.

The suspect was identified as Bruce Grooms Jr. through the help of the El Dorado police department. He was also being investigated by the El Dorado police department following incidents occurring in El Dorado.

Grooms Jr. went into the 1500 building on Tuesday and “exposed himself to them while performing lewd acts,” according to Deputy Chief of Police Tim Kamholz. The female students reported the incident to the public safety department, and Officer Patrick Murphy responded to the call. Grooms Jr. had already left by the time Murphy arrived.

Grooms Jr. returned on Thursday and flashed another female student in the 1500 building. The student immediately contacted the Public Safety Department, and Chief of Police Jason Kenney and Murphy responded to the incident and caught Grooms Jr. He was then taken to jail, and his charges are pending at the Butler County District Court at press time.

Grooms Jr. was also sanctioned by the Butler police and barred from all Butler properties.
