Butler Community College announced that six members of the woman’s soccer team have signed to play at a four year level. The 2018 class won two KJCCC conference championships and then pushed through to two NJCAA national tournament appearances. Amazingly, they had a record of 36 wins, 8 losses and no ties.

Two sophomores Sam Simmons and Taylor Edson have agreed to sign with the NAIA school Bethel College in Newton. Simmons was team captain and KJCCC all-conference selection with a United Soccer Coaches Academic All-American award her sophomore year. Edson was named to the KJCCC all-conference and NJCAA all-region VI teams when she was a sophomore. Both Butler soccer players were ranked KJCCC Academic all-conference players and NJCAA Academic All-Americans.

Sophomores Kyla Kreemer, Kennedy Weaver, Elena Garcia and Katie Hartman have all signed to play at NCAA DII Newman University. Hartman and Weaver are two-time all-conference and all region selections. Both were academic and all-conference players. Garia earned the same honor as a sophomore. Hartman, Weaver and Garcia were NJCAA Academic All-Americans.
