Butler Grizzlies baseball continues with victories

On Tuesday, April 10, the Butler Grizzlies had a single game at home against Cowley County. Butler lost 13-6, with three home runs, two by sophomore Conner Hurst and one for freshman Joshua Cox.

On Thursday, April 12, Butler traveled to Cloud County for a double-header. In the first game, Butler lost 5-0, with a double by freshman Patrick Bethea.

In the second game, Butler lost 14-11. The Grizzlies had three doubles, from sophomore Keone Givens followed by freshman Javier Pena and sophomore Alex Brough. Hurst tripled and was later joined in that category by sophomore Jackson Soule. To top off the runs, there were three home runs by Hurst, Cox and Brough.

On Sunday, April 15, the Grizzlies had a double-header at home against Cloud County. In the first game, Butler won 8-2, with a home run by Pena. In the second game, Butler continued their victory streak with a 9-3 win including a triple and a home run by Cox.
On Wednesday, April 18, Butler played a single game against Sterling College JV at home. The Grizzlies won 18-3, with four home runs, courtesy of Cox, sophomore Mason Goade, freshman Parker Base and freshman Cade Marrow.

On Thursday, April 19, Butler traveled to Longview, Missouri, to play Metropolitan Community College. The Grizzlies won 10-5 in the first game. Butler had two doubles, one by Givens and the other by Pena. Bethea also topped things off with a home run.

In the second game, Butler continued the win streak, 14-9. The Grizzlies had one triple by freshman Colby Deaville and Goade added a home run.

On Friday, April 20, Butler had a double header at home against Metropolitan CC . In the first game, the Grizzlies won 6-5, with a triple by Pena and a home run by Givens. In the second game, Butler won 10-0. Butler had three doubles by Hurst, Soule and Goade.
The Butler Grizzlies now have 396 total runs and 57 total home runs.

The Grizzlies are now 31-15 overall and 18-10 in the Jayhawk Conference.

On Tuesday, April 24, Butler grizzlies traveled to Cowley County for a double header at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
