Matthew Will
Managing Editor
My name is Matthew Will, and I am a sophomore at Butler, majoring in mass communications, with an emphasis in sports journalism. This is my second semester on the Lantern staff, and I am the managing editor and sports editor of the staff this year.
Last year, my soccer game story, ‘Three-peat Complete’ was awarded second place in Sports Writing at the Kansas Collegiate Media conference.
This summer, I interned with FC Wichita, the professional soccer team in Wichita, writing game stories and announcing as the public address announcer. In addition, I have served as the photography intern for the Wichita Wingnuts since July.
Currently, I work as a beat writer and social media manager for The Sin Bin, a hockey coverage site, as the Wichita Thunder correspondent. I run a private photo business called Pause Button Photography shooting primarily sporting events. Give me a like on Facebook!
My interests are anything related to NBC’s The Office and sports. My ride or die teams are the Kansas City Royals, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas State and Wichita State.
