Hi, my name is Emmie Boese. I am a freshman at Butler, and this is my first year on staff at the Butler Lantern. I plan on majoring in mass communications.
I am from Valley Center from a family of four. I have one sister who is one of my best friends. I absolutely love people even though I don’t talk that much. My absolute favorite hobby is to do anything with my best friend Alex. One of my favorite hobbies is to also watch sports with my friends and family and I especially enjoy watching my sister play soccer. I have one dog named Sara, and I was sad that I couldn’t take her to college with me. I also played soccer for about 11 years until I realized during my senior year that soccer wasn’t for me anymore. I was also involved in three musicals and five plays in high school and I also directed a one – act play.
Before coming to the Butler Lantern, I was an intern at The Ark Valley News during my senior year of high school. I am glad I had some experience at Ark Valley to prepare myself for Butler Lantern. I am excited to be here at Butler, and I cannot wait to dive in to what I want to pursue as a career.
