Education
Kris Kobach, the republican gubernatorial candidate, is a supporter of education and is in favor of focusing on putting more money into the classrooms specifically. According to Kobach’s website, he hopes to spend more money on teacher pay, books and computers. His plan is to guarantee that at least 75 percent of the funding for education be spent in the classroom, instead of the 53 cents of every dollar that is currently spent in the classroom.
Taxes
Cutting unnecessary spending in order to lower taxes is on the to-do list for Kobach as well. Kobach wants to limit the amount of money that homeowners have to pay in property taxes in order to focus more money into construction projects and new businesses. According to Kobach’s website, he reduced his office’s budget from $7 million to $4.6 million.
Second Amendment
As a gun owner, Kobach wants to remind others that self defense is a right that citizens are fortunate to have. He intends to protect our Second Amendment right. He is in favor of concealed carry and, it is important to him to ensure our right to keep and bear arms.
