Pronto Pup-tacular

Pronto Pup is the tasty fried treat that has become the must eat of the Kansas State Fair for so long that for most of us, we were introduced to the tasty fried treat by our grandparents. While we think of Pronto Pup as a fair food, the first Pronto Pup shop opened its doors in Rockaway Beach, Oregon. You can also find this fried masterpeice at the state fair in Minnesota and Tennessee. In Kansas however the stand is treated with the upmost respect. With five locations on the grounds, they also have a statue dedicated to the Pronto pup mascot. Overall, the Pronto Pups are exactly as I remember them being as a kid. Different from the sweetness of the corndog, the Pronto Pup delivers a more centered taste. 8.3/10
