Volleyball closes season after loss in Region XI Tournament

The Butler Women’s volleyball closed the season out with a 3-1 loss against Barton Community College on Tuesday, Oct. 30. They fell short in four sets, (25-22, Barton), (25-22, Butler), (27-25, Barton), (25-9, Barton).

Sophomore outside hitter Nia Bishop had 12 kills for the game followed by six digs; freshman outside hitter Amalie Rupertova had 11 kills and 12 digs; freshman libero Montana Soderberg added 19 digs to help on defense and freshman setter Sydney Scallon with a big night of 31 service aces and six digs.

The Grizzlies closed the season with a record of 15-15, finishing 5th overall in the KJCCC.

Rupertova was awarded second Team All-Region and sophomore middle hitter Allison (Alli) Klausmeyer was awarded Honorable Mention All-Region.
