Good News bio majors: The L.W. Nixon Library, located on the second floor of the 600 Building, now has anatomic models for students to check out. Now students can relax knowing there are other models that can be checked out and taken home to study.
Donated by Susan Forrest, the lead of the biology department, the majority of these models arrived on Monday, Jan. 28, and the heart arrived on Valentine’s Day Thursday, Feb. 14 for a heartwarming surprise.
The library has the following models: the heart, the kidney, the ear and inner ear, the brain, the spine, the eyeball, the knee, the bones of the body, the neck area, the skin and the layers of it, the mid-brain, the brain and the spinal cord.
“Come see our colon,” Leslie Pierson, an instructional librarian, said, encouraging students to check out the anatomical figures.
