Four students involved in alleged robbery in Junction City

Three Butler students were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy.

According to Savannah Rattanavong, a crime and courts reporter from The Manhattan Mercury, Izek Jackson, Javontez Brime and Malik Watkins “while armed with a handgun, [allegedly] robbed marijuana from Jeffery Walters III and/or Kaionia Channell by force or threat of bodily harm.”

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the 200 block of East 1st Street in Junction City, leaving one Butler student, Coye Crane, in critical condition as of Monday, Sept. 29.

As of Tuesday, Oct. 8, all three have posted bond.
