Those who love smoothies, teas and health bars and live in El Dorado are in luck. A brand-new cafe has opened called The Daily Spot.
They first opened on Thursday, Aug. 13 but had their grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 22. Their location is 2710 W Central Ave in El Dorado, right near the Dollar Tree.
Their main goal is to provide a positive and uplifting atmosphere where students can go to study, have a healthy drink or snack and enjoy the free Wi-Fi. Overall, it is a welcoming environment as soon as you walk through the door.
They use Herbalife products, which is a company that develops and sells dietary and nutritional products. The products include meal replacement shakes, nutritional teas and protein powders.
The first item I tried was a booster tea with a tropical flavoring. I was told when ordering that the teas taste more like juice, and it certainly did. For having no sugar, it was still delightfully sweet and flavorful. The teas also have caffeine in them, and I felt like it was a good boost for the afternoon.
The second item I tried was the mocha flavored, protein iced coffee. I enjoy coffee, but I do not like to have it a lot, so this to me was just right. It did not have a strong coffee flavor, which I liked, and it had a similar flavor to a protein shake.
Lastly, I wanted to try something from the menu that was caffeine-free, so I ordered the acai berry hydration. It is similar to flavored water and has no heavy feeling to it, I felt like it was something I could sip on all day.
Overall, I think that The Daily Spot is a great addition to El Dorado, and I would recommend it to anyone to check it out to relax and enjoy healthy and guilt-free items.
