It turns out the elevation of Head Coach Brice Vignery will not be the only coaching change for the Butler Grizzlies as Nate Haremza and Kyle Woodall have been promoted to offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator, respectively. This will be Haremza’s fifth season with the Butler Grizzlies and Woodall’s seventh.

In addition to the two coordinator changes, the Grizzlies have also brought in six total coaches and directors so far in the 2022 off-season. Jake Landoll will replace the legendary Steve Braet as the defensive line coach. Dallas Thompson will return to Butler as the director of football operations as well as serving as the recruiting coordinator. Ryan Bennet will come to Butler as the tight end’s coach. Gregg Hollins will serve as the receiver’s coach. Isaiah Gray has been brought as the assistant defensive backs coach, and to round out the hires, Maurice Gray is coming in to coach the defensive backs and serve as the pass game coordinator after a two year stint in Hutchinson Community College where he helped coach the Blue Dragons to the NJCAA National Title in spring of 2021.

It is easy to say that a reset is being done on the Butler Football program and bringing in this tremendous group of coaches is a great start to that. Vignery will, of course, count heavily on these fresh faces to assist him in putting the Butler Grizzlies over the top later in the year.
