The movie Slumberland is produced by Francis Lawrence who had based the movie off the movie Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland, which was produced in 1992 by Masami Hata and William Hurtz. The movie Slumberland is streaming on Netflix and runs about an hour and 57 minutes long. The main character is a little girl named Nemo (Marlow Barkley) who lives in a lighthouse with her father Peter (Kyle Chandler.) Nemo has lived with her father all her life in this lighthouse until some events unfold, and now Nemo must go live with her Uncle Philip (Chris O’Dowd) in the city. Uncle Philip has trouble communicating with anyone, particularly his niece Nemo.

While Nemo is with her uncle, she falls asleep and goes into this dream world called Slumberland, or “a world with no consequence.” In this dream world, Nemo discovers Flip (Jason Momoa), a thief, who is looking for a map that her father had. When Nemo finds the map, she has Flip help her locate her father Peter, and the two move from one dream to another. This map shows the location of pearls that can give you any wish you desire. That is inside the storm of nightmares that come for people who have a lot of fear in their dreams.
This movie made me laugh, and I had a really good time watching it because it had so many good twists and turns and with a lot of decent suspense especially right when I got into the movie. In one instance inside a dream, Nemo and Flip go through this second door, which leads them to a giant city of glass buildings. On their trek, they run into a kid who is driving a garbage truck. Eventually, Agent Green (Weruche Opia) begins chasing after Flip, so he and Nemo hop on the back of the garbage truck to get away. The chase ends somehow with Flip and Nemo popping up out of a toilet and being frozen by Agent Green.

It was very interesting finding out that this movie Slumberland was based off the 1992 film Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland. Slumberland has some funny scenes as well as some good parts where viewers think things are taking a very bad turn. I really enjoyed this movie even with-it having Jason Momoa in it as an outlaw.
I would recommend this movie for people to watch, especially if you want to have a decent laugh. Viewers will also get to see some good adventures through a lot of different dreams that some people have. And you get the best suspense on seeing if Nemo and Flip get the pearls or if they both get taken by nightmares.
I give this movie a five out of five Lanterns.
